The natural gemstone tanzanite, is said to have formed 585 million years ago by a tectonic plate vibration mixed with intense heat from the volcano we now know as Mount Kilimanjaro. The formation of the stone is considered so unique that most suggest was a 'geoglogical phenomenon'. Tanzanite remained undiscovered until 1967, making it relatively new to to world of natural coloured gemstones, and cannot be found anywhere else on earth, making this gem a divinely unique find.
